BACKGROUND:
Kate was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. She graduated from The King’s Academy in 1998. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in English, with minors in Criminology and Education. While at UF, Kate was active in both philanthropic and Student Government activities, including membership in Florida Blue Key.
In 2005, Kate graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, Kate interned at the United States Southern District Court for the Honorable Daniel T. K. Hurley. Upon graduation, Kate returned with her husband, Richard Leber, who she met while attending high school in West Palm Beach. They welcomed their first child, Neil Alan Leber in August, 2007.
